The European Office is the extended arm of the Stuttgart Region to the European Union. Right at the heart of the European quarter in Brussels, just a few steps away from the headquarters of the European Commission, the European Office of the Stuttgart Region has direct access to European decision-makers. The European Office keeps colleagues and decision-makers in the Stuttgart Region updated about important developments, providing information on legislative procedures or invitations to tender for funding programmes. It also provides support for funding projects, by organising events, when submitting applications or searching for project partners. Furthermore, the office welcomes delegations from the Stuttgart Region as well as from other parts of the world.

The staff members of the European Office are represented in expert groups of European networks in order to ensure that the region's interests are put across accordingly and to share in the configuration of funding programmes. Needless to say, activities also include cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg state representation in Brussels, the European Office of Baden-Württemberg's municipalities and numerous offices of other regions.
