Waste Disposal
Section 7 of the Waste Law for Baden-Württemberg states that Verband Region Stuttgart is responsible for the disposal of mineral waste allocated exclusively to land-fill class II (e.g. slag or core sand) pursuant to the Waste Disposal Ordinance. It is also responsible for the disposal of contaminated excavated earth.
Given that Verband Region Stuttgart does not have its own waste treatment facilities, within the scope permitted by the German Recycling and Waste Management Act, it has assigned the task to a private waste management company - AVL Abfallverwertungsgesellschaft des Landkreises Ludwigsburg mbH.
