Participation procedure for the amendment of the Stuttgart Region Regional Plan 2009

On 29.03.2023, the regional assembly decided to initiate a regional plan amendment procedure to reduce the regional green corridor by around 10 hectares to the east of the "Lauffener Feld" industrial estate. In return, the regional green corridor to the north of the "Lauffener Feld" is to be extended by around 14 hectares. No more residential development is to take place in this area.

The regional assembly adopted the draft amendment to the regional plan on 20.12.2023. The participation procedure and public participation were carried out on this basis. Based on the results of the participation procedure and consideration of all comments received, the regional assembly adopted the amendment to the regional plan as a statute on December 18, 2024. The amendment to the regional plan was approved and declared binding by the Ministry of Regional Development and Housing in a document dated 28.04.2025. With the public announcement of the approval in the State Gazette on 06.06.2025, the amendment to the regional plan is legally binding.
