The Stuttgart Region has a lot to offer in terms of tourism: A first-class cultural offering, impressive museums and a varied landscape. But the competition for city travelers is tough. Good marketing is therefore all the more important. The Verband Region Stuttgart has taken on this task and holds a stake of around 32 percent in Regio Stuttgart Marketing und Tourismus GmbH. It spends around 845,000 euros a year on this regional tourism marketing. But the association doesn't just give money, it also helps to shape it: Members of the regional assembly are on the supervisory board. The committee also appoints a part-time management board. Michael Kaiser currently holds this office.
