Regions in transition – Transatlantic exchange

Regions in Europe and North America are undergoing profound industrial transformations - driven by digitalization, climate change, demographic change and global trade changes. The project (Regional Development Policy for Industrial Transition: A Transatlantic Perspective) promotes transatlantic exchange, identifies best practices and provides a practical policy framework for an inclusive and sustainable regional transformation.
The Verband Region Stuttgart and its US partner region Northern Virginia are participating in this project as twinning partners. This is a very good opportunity to benefit from the long-standing professional cooperation and to deepen it further. The project is funded by the Directorate-General for Regional Policy and Urban Development of the European Region.
